The Tradition Tour Difference – PART 2

Many of the contact requests we get from people who are looking to visit Israel are from people who feel a connection to the land. Be it a Christian or Jewish connection or just an interest in seeing what Israel is all about from an archeological or historical angle. The majority of the requests do come from people based in the US though we do get requests from elsewhere as well.  The focus of this particular blog is towards people domiciled in Continental America and is part of the “Tradition Tour Difference series”.

Whether you are located in the US Canada or Latin America your flight to Israel will be a minimum of 10 hours and you most probably are wondering should I make a stop along the way for a few days and see another country?

Truth be told there is no” one size fits all” answer to this question as there are a number of factors that come in to play. For example, if I make a stop in let’s say Rome how much more will it add to my ticket price? If it’s going to add an astronomical amount, then it will most probably be a better option to save your Rome visit for another time and just focus on Israel for this visit. Alternatively, if you are limited in time and are unsure when you will be able to travel in the future then it may be a good idea to include an extra stop in your travels etc.

Of course, there are many more nuances that can come up when you are planning your travel, which is why we are here to help you get to your destination stress-free. If you feel you want to make a stop on your way to or from Israel be in touch with us! We at Tradition Tours have some fantastic short “add-on tours’ to Italy, Greece, and Jordan just to name a few destinations. We will also be able to help you decide if you should possibly wait to travel to Rome on a separate tradition tour or include it as an add-on to your Israel travel.

While we wait for you to be in touch to help you decide on how to best carve up your vacation time, here’s some information on a few add-on tours we offer.

In Italy, we have some wonderful day tours as well as 2 and 3-day tours of Rome, where you will be able to take in all the highlights that Rome has to offer including the Vatican, Colosseum and Rome’s old Jewish Ghetto. If you are a “foodie” we even offer an afternoon “foodie” tour where we take you on a tasting tour so some Italian delights. Naturally, if you are looking to visit Florence, Venice or the Almafi coast we have fantastic touring options there as well.

One of my personal favorites when visiting Athens, Greece is the island cruise tour. This is a fantastic tour that leaves from just outside Athens and takes you on a cruise of 3 different islands, giving you the true flavor of Greek culture. A visit to the small Island of Poros is most enjoyable as you can take in the smells of Lemon and Pine which grow on the Island as well as a visit to the towns bell tower. If you are just looking for a quick day tour of Athens we will make sure you get to the Acropolis!  Tradition Tours also offers tours to Delphi, Argolis, Santorini and many more destinations within Greece.

And last but not least, is our most popular tour Petra in Jordan. Petra can either be reached from Eilat, Israel’s most southern point and can be visited in a day. Alternately you can check out one of our 3-day tour options which will take you to Aman Jordan’s capital as well as Petra and sites in between. Looking to find out more information on Petra go no further than Raiders of the Lost Arch that was filmed there or alternatively give us a call we will be happy to discuss this wonder with you and see if we can add it to your tour.
